I grew up in a town called Kingman. It was a small town, and as a result there wasn’t a whole lot to do. I kept myself busy, though, participating in sports and joining many clubs in HS. This is also the place where I met my husband Clarke, although he graduated a year before I did. After HS I attended Kansas Wesleyan University where I majored in Biology. After my first two years of college I decided to transfer to Wichita State University where I graduated in 2004 with my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science (GO SHOCKS!) I decided that four years of college wasn’t enough though…so Clarke and I got married, moved to Kansas City, and I started physical therapy school at the University of Kansas Medical Center. After three years of grueling schoolwork, and having no life…I finally graduated in May of 2007 with my doctorate in physical therapy. Since then I’ve been working here in the Overland Park area at a local hospital in the inpatient rehab department. I really enjoy what I do….being a physical therapist is the best job ever. I get to help people every day. It’s so amazing to see a person walk for the first time following a stroke and to help people finally get home after being in the hospital for weeks, even months. My husband and I are about to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary!! The time has flown by…but it’s been a great four years. We also have two dogs…Ernie and Gracee, which I’m sure I’ll talk about a lot on here. Look elsewhere for some fun photos!
